Golden Blooms – Original Painting

Golden Bloom is part of an ongoing series of textured floral paintings exploring layered surfaces, sculptural detail and soft natural colour palettes.

This larger piece features vibrant yellow flowers set against a warm cream textured background, with some of the blooms partially built from hand-shaped clay elements to create depth and movement across the surface. Copper and gold highlights run through the petals and surrounding texture, while small touches of gold leaf catch the light subtly throughout the day.

Although richly textured, the painting still keeps a calm, balanced feel through the soft neutral background and simple composition. The long portrait format gives the piece a slightly more dramatic presence than earlier works in the series, making it well suited to modern interiors and larger wall spaces.

Like the other paintings in this collection, the piece evolved naturally while being created, becoming more about texture, warmth and reflected light than precise detail.
